House Democrats can't win on policy, so they're previewing their actual agenda: subpoena the president's children. Rep. Yassamin Ansari told MSNBC's Alex Witt that if Democrats take the House majority in November, they'll investigate "all of the Trump children" — including Eric, Don Jr., and Barron Trump — over their financial dealings and alleged self-enrichment through the presidency.
This matters because it confirms what every working American already suspects. One party has given up trying to persuade voters and is now running on pure institutional harassment. They're not promising cheaper groceries or secure borders. They're promising investigations.
Ansari didn't mince words. She called the Trump administration a "regime" and said the "corruption and the authoritarianism" is "so rampant that the list is going to be long." She singled out Don Jr. for allegedly forcing the government into defense contracts and Barron Trump — Barron, who just turned 20 — for what she called "crypto schemes" and his "friendship with people like the Tate brothers."
Fox News reported that Rep. Jason Crow, a Colorado Democrat who served as an impeachment manager during Trump's first term, is also gearing up. Crow said he'd start at the Department of Defense, claiming there are "disturbing reports about ties between defense money and appropriations programs, and requests by the White House to funnel defense spending to certain companies linked to the Trump family." He refused to rule out another impeachment push, calling it "one of several tools" Congress has.
Breitbart noted that Rep. Robert Garcia, the California Democrat in line to chair the House Oversight Committee, is coordinating with Rep. Jamie Raskin on the investigation agenda. Garcia listed his priorities: "Trump family corruption," the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, ICE and DHS, and corporate malfeasance.
Now, if there's genuine corruption involving defense contracts, name the contract, name the amount, and make the case. That's real oversight. But what Democrats are describing isn't oversight — it's a pre-planned inquisition targeting adult children of a president they've already impeached twice. The same party that spent years on the Russia collusion narrative, the Mueller investigation, and two impeachments is now telling you the real problem was Barron Trump's crypto friends all along.
Notice what's missing from this agenda: anything that improves your life. No plan to cut spending. No plan to secure the border. No plan to bring manufacturing home. Just a list of people to drag before cameras.
The question voters face in November isn't really about Trump's children. It's about whether Congress exists to serve the public or to serve as a permanent prosecution machine for one faction that can't accept election results.
