Nearly 2,000 people have been detained and 400 schools shuttered across France as far-left-incited riots engulfed Paris, Marseille, Lyon, and Strasbourg this week — and the forces that turned French streets into war zones are the same ones dismantling American cities from the inside.
This isn't a foreign story. It's a preview. Mass immigration without assimilation, gutted public institutions, and a political class that eggs on disorder instead of quelling it — that playbook runs in every Western capital where globalists hold sway. What's burning in France today is what open-borders elites and their far-left street proxies want normalized everywhere.
The violence started September 18 at a high school in Créteil, ostensibly over classroom overcrowding and teacher shortages — real failures of the French state. But according to Breitbart, the protests "rapidly strayed away from their alleged peaceful nature," and by this week had metastasized into full-scale urban warfare: hundreds of acts of vandalism and arson, school blockades, and assaults on police and civilians. At least 305 officers were injured. Ninety percent of those detained are minors.
Who turned a student grievance into a riot? French intelligence told the government in an emergency crisis meeting that the far-left party La France Insoumise orchestrated Thursday's wave of violence, according to Reuters as reported by Breitbart. Education Minister Édouard Geffray had already accused the party of "co-opting" the protests before the worst erupted. Security officials identified agitators unrelated to any school — "hooded, dressed all in black," faces concealed — infiltrating and escalating the chaos. La France Insoumise has denied the allegations.
National Rally leader Marine Le Pen placed the blame squarely on La France Insoumise chief Jean-Luc Mélenchon: "By personally going to high schools to harangue young people, by calling on his supporters to rise up, and by sending his representatives to these schools, Jean-Luc Mélenchon bears a heavy responsibility for the situation our country is facing today." Le Pen shared video of a young policewoman chased and thrown to the ground by a mob in Paris. She demanded "exemplary punishment" for the attackers.
And what did The Guardian — the English-speaking world's house organ for progressive respectability — lead with? G7 energy coordination and diesel reserves. The 400 shuttered schools and the escalating violence were relegated to a live-blog ticker. The establishment press buries the collapse when the collapse embarrasses the establishment.
Here is the stake: France's school system is failing, its streets are ungovernable, and its political class either can't or won't restore order. The same coalition — globalist managers who hollow out institutions, far-left agitators who weaponize the resulting anger, and compliant media that looks away — operates on American soil. The question isn't whether it comes here. The question is whether anyone in power will stop it before our streets look like Paris.
