The AJC also reported that Israeli troops killed an alleged attacker who attempted to ram his vehicle into soldiers in the occupied territory. WTOP buried that incident entirely, opting instead to highlight a large Israeli counterterrorism raid in the town of Al-Mughayyir that detained at least 28 Palestinians before the shooting. Meanwhile, Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen fired a ballistic missile at the Saudi capital of Riyadh — the first time the city has been targeted since this front opened in the broader Iran conflict. Saudi Arabia said the missile was intercepted. Residents heard an explosion and some saw a plume of smoke near the airport. No casualties or damage were reported. Egypt, Jordan, and Kuwait condemned the attack as a violation of international law and a threat to regional stability. The Muslim World League called it a violation of religious values and humanitarian norms.
Here is what the press won't ask: what is any of this worth to the American working stiff? Saudi Arabia has spent years lobbying Washington for arms, aid, and cover. Israel receives billions annually. Egypt and Jordan get their own checks — all competing with every dollar that doesn't go to your roads, your border, or your cost of living. The founders warned against entangling alliances for exactly this reason. Every overseas commitment is a choice that comes out of your pocket.
