Russian drones struck a Kyiv school, a capital bridge and residential buildings across Ukraine, killing at least six and wounding 38 — and every damaged facade will be cited to justify more American money for a war with no defined exit.

Overnight strikes on October 1 hit a school in the Solomianskyi district while more than 100 students and 60 staff sheltered inside, according to the Kyiv Independent, cited by The Gateway Pundit. The blast damaged the third-floor facade and started a fire. No students were injured. A 16-story residential building in the same district caught fire. Drones hit a non-residential complex in the Pechersk district and a warehouse in Obolonskyi, where one person needed medical care.

For the first time since the full-scale invasion, drones struck the Pivdennyi Bridge around 11:30 a.m. as a metro train crossed. The blast wave pushed dust into cars through ventilation. No passengers were hurt.

Nationwide, the toll mounted. Kyiv Oblast reported 42 damaged sites and six injured. Sumy Oblast absorbed 80 strikes on 23 settlements in 24 hours, killing two men and wounding 15, many elderly. Kharkiv faced six missiles, six guided bombs and 32 drones, injuring eight. Donetsk reported five injured from September 30 strikes. Dnipropetrovsk was struck more than 30 times, injuring four. Kherson saw one killed and four injured. Odesa reported a drone attack damaging two business centers and injuring one.

Ukraine's General Staff claimed roughly 1,900 Russian personnel losses and 107 Shahed-type drones launched overnight. Ukrainian losses were not disclosed — standard practice.

The Gateway Pundit ran the damage as a straight field report. What the coverage skips: who pays, how much, and for how long. No outlet has pressed Washington to define the American interest, the cost, or the exit.

Meanwhile, an SUV plowed into a crowd near Lindenwold High School in New Jersey on Tuesday, pinning two people underneath — including a girl whose leg was trapped, witness Connor Piotrowski told the Staten Island Advance — and airlifting one person in critical condition. The driver tried to flee and fought bystanders before police detained him. An American community in crisis. It won't rate a fraction of the Washington attention that a damaged Kyiv warehouse commands from the class that wants your money overseas.

Every billion shipped to Ukraine competes with American roads, American schools, American safety. The establishment calls that framing heartless. The founders called it sovereignty.

Nobody in Washington will say when this ends or what victory looks like. That's the tell.
