France is deploying 70,000 police and gendarmes to brace for Halloween-night riots, and the same globalist policies that broke Europe's streets are being imported into American communities right now.
Mass migration, economic stagnation, and institutional failure have pushed citizens across the continent into open revolt — and the American establishment press is burying the story because it exposes exactly what their preferred policies produce when fully implemented.
French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez told reporters Friday that October 31 presents a "very high risk of public disorder" and pledged an "extremely firm" response. Demonstrations will be permitted but barred from city centers. The deployment matches the 70,000-person mobilization from the previous weekend, when authorities say 410,000 people marched across France and security forces prevented a repeat of the looting and vandalism that struck multiple cities on October 17. According to Breitbart, those earlier protests "degenerated into leftist-driven urban rioting and mass looting."
The unrest is not confined to France. In Barcelona, police are on alert after a Telegram group called Blocus BCN circulated messages calling for a Halloween gathering, urging participants to wear black clothing and Halloween masks to evade identification. The group's promotional material reportedly cited the French protests as inspiration. Catalan police believe the violence — which saw 600 young people flood the city center on October 24, looting 23 businesses and setting 33 small fires — was coordinated, not spontaneous. A Spanish digital intelligence firm flagged Blocus activity in 18 locations across 11 regions of Spain, with gatherings planned for October 31, November 2, and November 30, the day before Spain's general election. In Germany, more than 100,000 young protesters are expected to take to the streets.
What's driving this? Depends on who you ask. Newsweek framed the French anger around "wages, living costs and public services" — a tidy economic story that omits the civilizational dimension entirely. HotAir was blunter: "Immigrants, Islamists, and organized radical-left activists are committing arson, looting, attacking the police, and breaking into buildings," the outlet reported, calling the violence "domestic terrorism" and arguing that European elites have "welcomed unchecked immigration and social disorder" for years. Breitbart noted that social media calls for a "revolution" on Halloween are being circulated by radical left groups — and that Marine Le Pen is surging in polls six months ahead of presidential elections.
The framing gap tells you everything. Newsweek buried the immigration angle and the political consequences. HotAir and Breitbart connected the dots: open borders, broken public services, and a citizenry that has lost faith in its institutions are not separate stories. They are the same story.
The money question is simple. Europe's political class spent decades importing cheap labor and dependent populations while hollowing out the wages and public services their own citizens relied on. Now the bill is coming due — in the streets, on Halloween night, with masked rioters and 70,000 cops. American policymakers are running the same playbook. The only question is whether anyone here is paying attention to the warning.
The streets of Paris, Barcelona, and Berlin are what managed decline looks like when the managers lose control. How long before Washington's does?
