Engadget framed the business-tracking as a planning convenience for your "packed itinerary." Both buried the implications. When Google integrates Waze reports into Maps, it consolidates two massive streams of real-time human movement data under one corporate roof. When it tracks device density at venues, it builds a historical pattern of American life—where we go, when we go, how long we stay—that no government agency could compile without a warrant and a fight.
The cops? They're being tracked by the same system.
