A foreign regime is openly hunting a former U.S. president, and our own intelligence apparatus was completely in the dark until Israel tipped us off—leaving Donald Trump to draft his own doomsday contingency.
While the establishment press obsesses over trivialities, the Islamic Republic’s assassination plots against Trump are a matter of life and death. The president revealed this week that he has "left instructions" for the military to obliterate Iran if they succeed in killing him, exposing a lethal reality the D.C. class refuses to acknowledge: a foreign government is trying to decapitate American leadership, and our intelligence agencies needed a foreign ally to tell them it was happening.
According to a Wall Street Journal report cited by The Gateway Pundit, Israeli intelligence recently alerted U.S. officials to a specific plot targeting Trump. The critical detail? U.S. agencies had not previously independently identified the threat. Our multi-billion-dollar intelligence community missed it entirely.
Trump, however, isn't waiting for the bureaucrats to catch up. In an interview with the New York Post, he made the consequences clear: "I’ve been on their list for a long time. That’s what we’re dealing with. The only thing is, I’ve left instructions — if anything happens, to just literally bomb them at levels that they’ve never seen before."
Trump downplayed the idea that Israel uncovered some brand-new scheme, recognizing the ongoing reality of the threat. "No, no. Israel came up with nothing. No, no," he told the Post. "I’ve been No. 1 [on Iran’s kill list] for a long time, and it’s the way life is, you know."
Iran has been gunning for Trump since he took out terrorist mastermind Qasem Soleimani in 2020. The hatred was on full display this week during the funeral for slain Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, where the New York Post reports demonstrators unfurled giant banners calling for Trump's killing. A eulogist declared, "Why shouldn’t we kill the one who killed my imam and my leader? Trump’s killing is our duty. … Why is the most despicable man in the world still alive?"
The threats aren't just rhetorical. After Iran fired on ships in the Strait of Hormuz, Trump called off the fragile ceasefire and launched nearly 200 strikes across Iran. Iran retaliated by striking U.S. military sites in Bahrain and Kuwait. The danger is so acute that the president had to swap planes on his return from the NATO summit in Ankara as a security tactic.
"To me, I think it’s over," Trump said of the ceasefire. "They’re scum. They’re sick people. They’re led by sick people, and they’re vicious, violent people."
If the American intelligence community can't even track a kill list targeting a former president without a foreign tip-off, what exactly are they doing with their massive budgets? And if Tehran finally succeeds, will Washington have the stomach to follow Trump's final instructions, or will the establishment blink while an American president lies dead?
