A single worker, making the very bottom of all possible wages? You think they'd be able to afford housing for 2-4 people? What planet are these people living on?

So what else is new? A minimum wage earner has NEVER been able to afford to purchase a home. Minimum wage is for high school kids living at home with Mom & Dad, NOT adults who are trying to get by on their own..... Globalism/outsourcing our manufacturing base, has FUCKED America up the ass to the point that minimum wage jobs are practically all there is to be had.

WTF is someone making minimum wage doing, trying to BUY a home? Get some roomies and rent a fucking place until your skill level brings you enough income to rent or buy your own. If you are thirty five or older and trying to survive on minimum wage...I suggest committing a non violent crime like bank robbery or some such that will get you a nice long stay in the DOC. You will receive three hots per day and a cot and free, top of the line, medical care for your entire stay. And you don’t even have to pay rent!!!

Min wage isn't supposed to pay the rent. Min wage should be zero. The government has no right to determine wages.

Why would a 16 year old need a 2 bedroom house?

since when is a minimum wage job supposed to be for an adult supporting him/herself?? French fry chef is NOT a career!

A home? You get an apartment and have roommates if you are making that little. CNN over here saying you can’t afford a place in San Fran on min wage. Well, no shit.

Grandfather was a minimum wage farm worker. House, wife, and 2 kids.

Yet minimum wage gets you into the top 10% of income earners world wide.

Sounds like we have a price problem, not a wage problem.

WTF are you talking about "modest 2 bedroom home?" They can't afford a 2 bedroom APARTMENT - that's with 2 of them!!
