A Canadian illegal alien who slapped a New Jersey teenager for wearing a patriotic shirt is finally in ICE custody — but only after her husband was exposed threatening local politicians and their children, revealing how the northern border lets foreign nationals walk in and menace Americans with near-total impunity.

While the media and both parties train every spotlight on the southern border, visa overstayers from Canada slip through the north and stay for years. Kaitlyn Tracey arrived in 2024 on her passport, overstayed her visa, and allegedly felt comfortable enough in her status to assault an American child over her clothing. Her husband, Matthew Geroni — a U.S. citizen — openly threatened local officials' families and mocked political assassinations, and no authority touched him until his wife's arrest brought scrutiny.

33-year-old Tracey allegedly approached a group of teenagers on the boardwalk at Point Pleasant Beach over the July Fourth weekend, yelled at them for wearing patriotic clothing, and slapped one girl on her face and body, according to Breitbart News. The teenager was wearing a USA 250 shirt. Tracey was charged with simple assault, endangering the welfare of a child, harassment, and obstruction.

DHS confirmed Thursday that Tracey is in ICE custody at the Delaney Hall detention center in Newark, "pending removal" from the United States. A search of the ICE detainee locator confirms her custody status, according to the Gateway Pundit.

But Tracey's assault opened the door to something worse: her husband's behavior. Geroni took to social media begging for help after his wife's detention — "My wife is being detained by ICE. She's in Ocean County jail right now, and I can't get ahold of her" — but his own posts quickly drew attention.

In one video, Geroni sends what the Gateway Pundit describes as a "reminder" to local politicians: "A reminder if you work in local government, we know where you live. Some of us can fu**ing walk there." He added: "Hell, we know where your kids go to school because they go to school with our kids. I'm just saying this is food for thought."

Geroni also posted a video mocking the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Dressed in a pink sweatshirt, he outstretched his arms as a caption reading "Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck and he dead" appeared on screen, according to Breitbart. In another video wearing Joker-style makeup, he ranted: "They're always laughing at us, so why wouldn't I laugh when one of them takes it to the f–king neck and is no more?"

The Gateway Pundit reported additional posts where Geroni prayed for cancer to strike President Trump and his entire family, "including little kids and sh*t," and prayed for another assassination attempt against the president.

Protests and Antifa rioters have gathered outside the Delaney Hall facility where Tracey is being held, Breitbart reported. Geroni had previously posted a TikTok video portraying those protesters as peaceful and police as violent thugs.

Tracey is finally facing removal. Her husband's threats against politicians and their children — delivered from inside this country, with zero apparent fear of consequences — raise a question neither party wants to answer: how many more foreign nationals are here from the northern border, and what does it take before anyone in power takes it seriously?
