Tech firms will need to ensure that illegal content is quickly removed from their platforms.

#britfam I couldn't agree more with the comments below - the internet is being treated like some physical business or goods when its intangible and distributed. Shame the government clamps down on information and opinion and blames everyone else for some peoples poor decisions.

Speaking for the first time after the killing of General Qasem Soleimani, Boris Johnson said that the UK would 'not lament' his death and called for a de-escalation of threats in the Middle East.

This narrative places Iran in a position of equal responsibility and hence de-escalation makes sense. Unfortunately it's not for the UK to weakly suggest Iran ignore this. What needs to happen is that we need to see the evidence for this upcoming attack.

The U.S. military presence in the Middle East has been thrown into jeopardy after the killing of a top Iranian general

Well done - we've achieved so much and now its lost. We are talking about fighting ISIS ffs. Don't pretend that eliminating them shouldn't and isn't the highest priority. Unsurprising but i am aghast at all the lives lost in fighting in Iraq.

Money for training courses will be made available to adults of all ages, under the Lib Dem plan.

#BritFam - more feeble minded nonsense from the LibDems. How is 10k supposed to offset a whole income stream that is eroded due to globalisation and automation? To boot they are raising corporation tax - so the multinational corporation won't pay this but native British companies will and people will get next to nothing to retrain. What a load of tosh - a smoke screen for whats really happening.

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez facing difficult negotiations after second election this year results in hung parliament.

#BritFam - the road we've chosen to go down - A more representative and decisive democratic model fails to produce any meaningful government. I bet big corporations and countries like Russia and China are laughing their asses off.

Don't worry I'm sure it's possible to be happier and poorer....I think....

To be fair it's worth reading the press release here: https://www.nbt.nhs.uk/news-media/latest-news/north-bristol-hands-red-card-racism - whether its racism or sexism or whatever they are basically saying if you're being loud and rude to staff then you'll be handed a card and then be asked to leave once its safe to do so. I personally support this and it isn't about denying treatment on the basis of political views.

Britain is heading back to a "1970s-sized state" in terms of public service spending, whoever wins next month's general election, a new report claims today. As the political parties prepare to hit the campaign trail after the dissolution of parliament on Tuesday, the Resolution Foundation claimed both parties will "turn the spending taps back on".

#BritFam

Holy smokes! We've just turned the clock back 40 years as well as opening the gates to all and sundry. Say hello to urban blight and a reversal of all the gains we've made as a society in that time. I must say it remarkable there isn't morediscussion around this. Why is there a need for such a massive state in modern times? We have less employment rights, greater economic uncertainty and.....errrr....more taxes.

That simply doesn't make any sense but then I am a white male.

Traffickers are helping children as young as 15 into the UK by paying for their fees for the first term of up to £10,000 - but many vanish including eight from Chelsea Independent College.

#BritFam More news of human trafficking and the use of schools and nail bars. This is so lucrative that they pay for the school fees.

We should immediately:

  1. Disallow any and all foreign students from enrolling in private schools without a citizen being liable for their welfare. In the event of an absence the guardian is immediately liable for any costs incurred (that money is held in trust).
  2. Raid all nail bars and shut them down. This should be left to the private sector IMHO - allow licenses to businesses to police the immigration status of workers. Each unauthorised worker is then clearly deported and the business charged the £1000 cost for the business. Again - businesses to hold this in trust with a government. So if someone wanted to set up a nail bar with ten workers they would have to deposit £10,000 with the government. If this is contravened then business is immediately shut down.

NHS trusts are paying back millions of pounds to the government each year in interest.

#Britfam - let this sink in - the NHS is bankrupt. As of 2014 we spend £179 billion on the NHS and yet it still needs more. See the governments own figures: https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/healthandsocialcare/healthcaresystem/articles/howdoesukhealthcarespendingcompareinternationally/2016-11-01

To me, this seems degenerate and you can understand why people come to this country as the NHS is not funded through insurance but government funding. There must be a better way to spend this money than have this monolith.
