A new film about the professor skirts over the real story of his appeal

I'm sure this guy used to write elsewhere and make more sense than he does on unherd. The "bothsidesism" is just painful.

News, analysis and comment from the Financial Times, the worldʼs leading global business publication

“The [pay] gap is 17.3 per cent nationally for all workers and unlike unequal pay, when women are paid less than men for the same work, it is perfectly legal. Yet laws are imperfect: women earn £263,000 less on average than men over the course of their lifetimes, official data shows. Even women with a PhD or masters degree make less over their lives than men with undergraduate degrees.”

The fact the FT churns out this bullshit without and disables the comments shows the journalistic class are in full panic mode, the readership rips them apart when they open the comments so they hide. Yes because the law is imperfect for not making women get paid more for working less?

This is not a sustainable business model. Think of the cost savings if you were to work out who produced the most of this nonsense and just booted them.

I didn’t ‘ambush’ Douglas Murray on Coffee House | Douglas Murray was not ‘ambushed’ by me on the Today programme. Nor was he called out. Nor was he…

Robinson doesn't get that tiny quotes with no context are an ambush. That is just rude to the guest, far worse is that this standard MO for the media is actually dishonest and boring for the audience (in the BBCs case that is the public who are taxed to put billions in to the BBC to fund his life). No amound of self justification gets passed doing a shit job. Random quotes are fine for minor use in long form interviews but in short stuff the focus needs to be on the stuff in the interview.

The latest craze is to go “gender fluid”. The name of the game is playing with identity, mixing things up, blurring lines. The male musician Pharrell Williams…

Short but right. This is nothing new.

Harry and co’s new enthusiasm for frills and flamboyance is far from superficial, says Guy Pewsey – it’s changing what it means to be a man. Read on Grazia.

I keep hearing about how someone or other is "rewriting the rules of masculinity" the problem is they never seem to identify where they were written in the first place. It is as if the 70s and 80s never happened, they can work out the likes of Bowie didn't "conform" to their strawman masculinity but what about hair mettal? Shock Rock like Maralyn Manson? Where is this rigid standard?

Or perhaps it is not conforming to what feminists cobsider masculinity to be. But who would care about a standard for men set by a bunch of women from the 60s and 70s, who's longest relationships with men are probably are best calculated in hours or minutes rather than years and decades.

They should put this strawman down it is worn out.

The once-aspirational magazine now denigrates men

It was one of those magazines I had always struggled to understand who the market was but at least they appear not to know either.
