C'mon, The Atlantic... This isn't that complicated. It's basic supply and demand economics that everyone should have learned about in high school. When everyone thinks they HAVE to use a product, the price of that product skyrockets. It doesn't even have to be truly valuable. People just have to believe it's valuable.
Yeah, don't you remember the ice age that started in 2000? The worldwide water rationing in 1974? The worldwide food rationing in 1980? That time that the ozone layer disappeared and killed us all? That time that acid rain encompassed the globe and killed us all? How about that cooling trend? That's right, I said "cooling trend". Because that's what 1970s climate models were predicting. How about the worldwide droughts of ever increasing severity that killed us all? Remember when rising sea levels wiped Maldives off the map? Remember when rising sea levels obliterated nations of the world in 2000? Remember when New York's West Side Highway was completely swallowed by the Hudson River just this year? Remember the last snowfall ever recorded back in the 90s? Remember when Britain turned into a Siberian wasteland? Remember when the last of the arctic ice disappeared last year? Or back in 2016? Or 2015? 2014? 2013?
It's only accurate if you're willing to overlook all the times it wasn't. Unsurprisingly, Vox is here to make sure you do just that.
If "Hey guys" triggers you, you have no worth. Clearly you're too weak to live in this world and you should just check out now.
At least they've acknowledged that these attacks are actually quite rare. That's a plus. They're missing an obvious solution though. A lockdown drill is only going to be really effective when combined with an armed response.
Hey Tulsi Gabbard supporters! If y'all could do me a solid and stop trying to tell me that Tulsi is pro-2nd Amendment, that'd be great. As you can see, it takes less than 60 seconds to see that she is not. It makes you look like you're either stupid or lying when you try that crap. Not to mention that I've had enough Tulsi supporters try to lie to me about this that I'm actually wondering, how dishonest is Tulsi if these are the sorts of supporters she attracts? Now I'm rational enough to shake off that thought because I'm not into all that guilt by association crap. But you gotta ask yourselves, what about all the people who are totally cool with guilt by association? How are you making your chosen candidate look to them?
Woman: Takes forever in the bathroom, forcing other women to wait.
Also woman: This must be happening because of sexism!
I dunno Tim... Why are you spineless? Lemme guess... It's complicated?
Income inequality? You think that's the problem? Seriously?
Your extreme leftist politics destroyed your home state to the point that you had to move because you couldn't stand it anymore. But you kept your politics! You're just going to bring California politics, California politicians, followed by California problems. And Idahoans are pissed because they know it, but they can't stop it. They know you're going to destroy their home and there's nothing they can do about it.
CNN = Chinese National News
Of course The Atlantic would write an article sympathizing with the piece of shit thief. That's completely unsurprising. Oh and they go out of their way to call her the "neighbor" of the people she's stealing from. She's not. Neighbors don't have to take a bus to get to the neighborhood where they steal your stuff. I hope Lauren Smiley becomes the victim of crime. She deserves it.
