"... while giving short shrift to the Establishment Clause’s prohibition on state establishment of religion.” - Justice Sonia Sotomayor

Perhaps the "wise Latina" Justice is unfamiliar with the text of the Constitution, particularly as it relates to the 1st Amendment clause on religion. The text SPECIFICALLY prohibits CONGRESS (not the "state") from establishing an official government religion. It does NOT prohibit government employees from praying to whatever deity the employee sees fit. If the student(s) want to join in, that's their prerogative. If the student(s) feel coerced - when no coercion is being applied - the student needs to learn to stand up for themselves.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer says enforcing state law is not her job when it comes to abortion.

It's very enlightening to see the chief executive officer of a state, charged with enforcing the laws of the state, flagrantly and openly proclaim she will ignore laws she disagrees with.

Imagine all the "little people" she crushed under foot when they refused to follow her mask, distance, and business closure edicts the last couple of years.

Roberts is a traditionalist who cares more about the institution of the Supreme Court and whether it's staying out of the press than about actual decisions.

Roberts is too busy trying to split the baby to do any real judicial work. He wanted to "slow down" the Roe majority - "eliminate" Roe in baby steps. But that's not the court's job. Was Roe constitutional or not (and it clearly wasn't)? THAT was the court's job.

The Supreme Court sided with religious liberty, and it's making progressives angry.

"[T]his court is elevating the religious aspects of the First Amendment above others," CNN Legal Analyst Jennifer Rodgers whines.

The most hilarious aspect of that comment is how those in the corporate media jealously defend First Amendment protection of "freedom of the press", while simultaneously discarding First Amendment protection of "freedom of speech" for the "little people". They're only too happy to argue that those with whom they disagree should be allowed no voice whatsoever in the public square.

But as it has oft been said, if The Left didn't have double standards, they'd have no standards at all.

The Supreme Court ruled in the case of Carson v. Makin that Maine's tuition assistance program violated the First Amendment for excluding religious schools from eligibility.

Leave it to the Left side of the court to COMPLETELY get it wrong.

Breyer said the decision requires Maine to fund religious schools. That is EXACTLY wrong. If no parent selects a religious school for their child, then the state will not be funding religious schools. It is not the state, but the parents, that are choosing religious schools. The CHILD'S school funding is simply following them there.

And just ignore the "wise Latina". She doesn't know her butt from a hole in the ground.

I'm old enough to remember when the Democratic Party's slogan was, "If it feels good, do it." And that has led us to here, where evil is good and good is evil; up is down and down is up; where the party is actually openly trying to "normalize" pedophilia, and groom kids in school, and demands that those who oppose that agenda are -phobes, or -ists.

If he is the (R) nominee, I would write in Trump or DeSantis ... even if neither of them runs.

A couple of problems with this piece. 1) You're giving them "one more chance" and then they're done if they blow it. But that's not true. You'll continue to be suckered because you WANT to be suckered.

2) Dawson, Pascal, McGregor, and Luna are ALL America-hating "woke" Leftists. What about that would give you the slightest hope of this being non-woke, non-PC?
