"We have no way of forecasting how long it will take for consumer comfort with indoor movie theaters to return."

Is it concern over coronavirus, or people sick of being berated as bad people because of their race or sex? Imagine the audacity of Pedowood lecturing the rest of America about morality! I have no health concern about going to a theater; but I won't give Pedowood one red cent of my money until they take their PC politics out of their products. Same goes with sports and other entertainment industries.

It's not just the MSM, but other countries are more "socialist"; which means the people of those countries are more socialist. Who do socialist vote for? Forget the candidates or the office - socialists vote for "The Left". Gay/straight; male/female; white/black/brown/red/yellow; it doesn't matter.

What really galls me about this is The Left acts as if that was Ginsburg's seat on the SCOTUS; her own personal property. Like buying a lifetime box at the opera. That seat, as well as the others, are THE PEOPLE'S seats. The person who was appointed to sit in the SCOTUS has died. Now THE PEOPLE - who are still alive and life goes on - still have business to conduct.

Let's not forget there is a YUGE difference between the 2016 and 2020 situations. Obama WAS on his way out the door. The 2016 nomination was coming at the end of Obama's second term when there would absolutely be a different president in a few months (either Trump or Hillary). Also, the opposition party held the Senate in 2016 and the same party holds it in 2020. The Senate could have gone through the process and simply rejected Garland (and all subsequent nominees) in 2016. The effect would have been exactly the same as not taking up the nomination - the seat would be vacant until the new president is sworn in.

My favorite SCOTUS justice is Clarence Thomas. He gave an interview fairly early on in his SCOTUS tenure and was asked about some of the decisions he made that were at odds with his prior court rulings. His answer was fascinating and illustrates why he's my favorite.

I will paraphrase as I don't have the quotes before me. He said "This is not my constitution to play with and change it as I would have it. This constitution belongs to ALL the people and I have no right to impose MY views on them."

Again, that is a paraphrase, but I believe it fairly captures the essence of his more eloquent words.

Consider what would have happened if the "Never Trump Republicans" (i.e. George Will, Bill Kristol, etc.) had their way back in 2016 with a Hillary victory. At least THREE Leftist SCOTUS appointments ... and the first two would have been Leftist replacements for conservative justices (Scalia and Kennedy). Couple that with John Roberts leftward lurch and we'd be looking at at least a 7-2 Leftist court ... with untold more Leftists to come. The only two "conservative" justices would be Alito and Thomas. Gorsuch and Kavanaugh wouldn't be there; they'd be Leftists instead.

Isn't it interesting that Democrats DEMAND an outsized voice for "minorities", but then want to silence the "minority's" voice (filibuster rule) in the Senate if Democrats are the majority.

The Democrats and their Propaganda Arm (aka MSM) have never accepted the results of the 2016 election.

The fact is, Tim, almost every single mass shooter was on the Left. Don't saddle "the Right" with The Left's baggage. Some were apolitical (or at least no political allegiance could be found, such as the Las Vegas shooter), but most were on The Left ... mentally unstable in most cases, but on The Left. (Of course, most people on the Left ARE mentally unstable.)

He killed three people (and I'll bet they were all white or he was at least aiming at white people, even if he hit a black by mistake) and was GRINNING from ear to ear as he was arrested. The motive is not difficult to glean. He killed three white people and is proud of himself for doing it. Whether it was "for" Breonna Taylor or just because he's a rabid racist, the motive was anti-white hatred.
