SEATTLE (AP) — One of two people hit by a man who drove his car onto a closed Seattle freeway and into a crowd protesting police brutality has died.

While these incidents are truly sad and truly pointless, my first thought was, "didn't their parents teach them not to play in the traffic".

C'mon, loitering in the street after dark, let alone on an interstate; what's the DSM call this sort of mental illness? And why aren't our compassionate authorities, who cared so very much, that they tanked our economy, in order to keep from killing our at-risk senior citizens (who could've just sheltered in place, like they always have), why aren't Seattle's public health experts intervening in behalf of these poor misguided souls, who are clearly and needlessly putting themselves in harms way? After all, they're our future!!

Think it over, Portland Oregon is at 38 days of rioting. How does that go unchecked, for that long? [if there is property damage, intimidation or violence, it is rioting.]

Although there will likely being a second wave (the masks probably guarantee it), for the present, the good news to focus on, and remind your neighbors, is that asymptomatic isn't dead. That is, despite the wall-to-wall manufactured hysteria surrounding the test results, the death rate is now negligible, and still primarily confined to those at-risk from, often multiple, pre-existing conditions.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has asked President Trump for a federal disaster declaration in his state due to “extensive fire damage” in the unrest that followed George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis police custody on Memorial Day.

The unrest! It was a multi-day allowance of mayhem on your watch Governor Walz. The National Guard should have been activated with the first reports of pillaging, the first night.

For a multitude of reasons, President Trump should decline assistance, rather suggesting Governor Walz exhaust all other avenues before milking the American people for his lack of leadership, e.g., for starters, by filing suit against ANTIFA, the BLM and their deep pocket corporate accessories (er, sponsors), both before and after the fact, who have recently, proudly, provided the those organizations, and their affiliates, substantial financial infusions.

A Black Lives Matter TikTok video by Harvard Senior Claira Janover in which she threatens to stab and watch bleed out “the next person who has the sheer nerve, the sheer entitled caucasity to say ‘all lives matter'” went viral Tuesday in spite of a disclaimer Janover posted under the video stating “for legal reasons…

Harvard's standards are really slipping, the caveat should be issued before the hate crime is announced.

New figures obtained by RNZ show last year had the highest rates of gun crime and deaths involving firearms for nearly 10 years.

Article doesn't mention where the guns are being driven in from! ... excerpt:

The figures, obtained from police under the Official Information Act, show the rates of gun crime went up in both 2018 and 2019.

Last year, there were 3540 occasions where an offender was found with a gun.

And in both of the last two years, the rate of deadly incidents involving a firearm was the highest it had been since 2009.

The number of guns seized by police is also on the rise, up almost 50 percent on five years earlier at 1263 last year.

An officer was attacked by someone wielding a gun 13 times in 2019, up two on 2018 but remaining steady over the past five years. ... tip of the hat to: https://www.westernjournal.com/new-zealand-gun-crime-hits-10-year-high-strict-gun-confiscation/

Excerpts: [emphasis mine]

We’re making a mistake allowing athletes and celebrity influencers to set the agenda for the kind of reform and change we want to see in America. Professional athletes and Hollywood elites answer directly to their corporate overlords. ... LeBron James’ primary employer is Nike, not the NBA. LeBron’s shoe contract is worth more than $1 billion. Every calculated move LeBron makes related to social justice reform — from the Ahmaud Arbery tweets to the Equality T-shirts to the school his foundation partially funds to his decision to remain silent on the Hong Kong protesters — is made with Nike in mind.

Nike and LeBron ask working-class and poor American kids to shell out $200 for a pair of custom “Equality” shoes that are made in Asia using slave labor. Imagine the transformative power if those shoes were made in Akron using union labor. ... Pressuring Nike to empower working-class American parents and families would do more to holistically improve the entire community.

The woke media celebrating the gestures have relationships with the shoe companies, and many of them are represented by the same agencies and PR firms. The elites are selling the working class a faux justice revolution with a one-way revenue stream.

Bingo!

Responding to More on Masks, Unfortunately, Jim Davies notes that  conversations I’ve had with staff at my local supermarket tell me they wear them only because Management requires it. Don’t know his motives, but he is a known Democrat. They are not happy. But there’s another aspect to this, which may gain in importance if the mask fetish should remain and become increasingly mandatory; we’ll wear them when so forced, but with an imprinted message. Each can make her own. I’m visiting my son in hospital at the weekend, masks required; I’ve used a marker pen to announce across my … Continue reading →

When we absolutely cannot avoid wearing a mask (which I rarely do - only having been harassed out of one shop), don't play along with this monstrous fraud by wearing a designer mask, PUSH BACK. Some of ours read: COVID-19 is a GMO; Obedience Training Attire; Masks are Unhealthy; Not Virus Proof; Virus Sieve; Lowers Oxygen Inhalation; Raises CO2 in your Blood.

Our compliance -in the managements mind- further proves we are unfit to manage our own affairs (per Stanley Milgram's social psychology experiments regarding ready submission to authority figures, e.g., egotistical goofs wearing lab coats, or other authorities in uniforms).
