The reporterette who wrote this article doesn't know much about the 2d Amendment.
Just because a few other states have passed so-called "Red Flag" laws doesn't make them constitutional. They're not. Americans cannot be deprived of their liberty or property without due process.
Nothing is more important than abortion! The lefty press tells us that every day.
I know this article is going around. Readers should know that the analysis and conclusion get vigorous disagreement from others, so read carefully to make up your own mind.
For a different point of view this thread is good:
I didn't think I could hate the media more than I already do -- then I read this article.
This is one of the most offensive things I've ever seen. He basically says the news media does a pretty good job overall, and if you don't agree you're too dim to understand what a good product they offer.
I smell #fakenews.
"Key Connecticut legislators are calling for an expansion of the state’s gun seizure law to allow relatives and medical professionals to report someone is too dangerous to possess firearms."
If you're a gun owner your crazy liberal relatives will have new ways to get the government to attack you and your rights.
The young woman might be able to claim self defense. We'll see how this plays out I guess.
The article quotes lots of people saying nice things about this young student. The writer doesn't quote anyone saying anything nice about the mother who died. I'm not sure if that's intentional just an accidental omission.
The ATF office in Houston has posted a Tweet in honor of four Special Agents killed during the initial raid attempt in Waco.
They're getting about the reaction you'd expect.
This is a video about a homeowner who was shot by police in his home while he was doing nothing wrong. (The deputy apparently didn't even identify himself, then he shot the homeowner through his front window.)
The Sheriff's office has disabled comments on the video. I'm not sure why. But they can stop comments with Dissenter.
I noticed this part of the video from the introduction:
"When deputies are put in the position that requires them to use physical force to effect an arrest or to defend themselves against a threat, the actions can be graphic and difficult to watch."
He's supposed to investigate whether or not force was required to make an arrest or defend from a threat. It sounds like that guy has already reached his conclusions. And maybe he wants the viewer to come to the same conclusions. Sorry your little mind trick doesn't work on me.
I'd like to see this officer prosecuted for his crime. Sadly I realize that's highly unlikely.
Stupid "fact check" website is just Democratic propaganda.
Sanders absolutely says that government benefits are "human rights." His whole movement is built on this. It's what energizes his supporters. It's literally the whole point of his candidacy.
