Andy Murray says the deaths of 19 children and two teachers in a mass shooting at a Texas school is "unbelievably upsetting".

Once again, the same bizarre focus on the weapons used, rather than the motivations behind it. It is worth pointing out that just months after Dunblane, a man walked into a school in Wolverhampton with a machete and attacked children, only the bravery of a 21 year old teacher, Lisa Potts, prevented another massacre. In Europe over the past few years, we've seen mass killings with guns, trucks, knives and bombs. Banning guns doesn't prevent them, it just changes them. The only real important question, that it seems no one is asking, is why would a US citizen walk into a school and massacre children? That's the only place the focus should be. The tools used are irrelevant, it's like saying "Let's not worry about preventing these crimes, let's instead work on trying to make the murderer slightly less efficient."

Horrific footage caught the moment a female high school student in Nevada apparently punched another girl in the head over 30 times.

Why did no one intervene? Not even the teacher?

April will mark one year since a House committee approved legislation that would study slavery reparations for African Americans. H.R. 40 would create a panel that would examine lasting effects of slavery and discrimination in the U.S. But the bill has yet to be brought to a full vote in the chamber. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee, who is the lead sponsor of H.R. 40, joined CBS News' Lilia Luciano to discuss.

Typically in such circumstances it is the people that caught and sold the slaves that pay the reparations, not those that purchased them. So are they going to pursue the African nations that caught and sold the slaves, for reparations?

Former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), now an MSNBC contributor, said Monday on MSNBC's "Deadline" that the Republican Party's "failure to accept science as it relates to vaccines" means they politically own the COVID deaths of the unvaccinated. | Clips

Who owns the covid deaths of the vaccinated then? The Democrats? Vaccinated deaths are outpacing the unvaccinated 8 to 1.

Lockdowns in the U.S. and Europe had little or no impact in reducing deaths from COVID-19, according to a new analysis by researchers at Johns Hopkins University.

Now do the vaccine!

West Yorkshire Police took action in Bradford after female students reported being harassed by drivers in certain parts of the city. Undercover female officers will now patrol the streets as part of the crackdown

Surely the police have better things to do with their time? So, now they'll be ignoring victims of crime where the victim is beaten, robbed, rapped or murdered, instead pouring resources into looking into hurt feelings? It's not even a crime they're investigating here, but apparently they have resources to place officers undercover? But won’t come out to investigate a burglary? Like so many things these days, modern policing needs an overhaul, and to be reminded of its purpose.

Mike Lynch lost a multibillion-dollar fraud action on Friday over the sale of Autonomy in 2011.

Does extradition ever work the other way? I mean, I've heard of many people being extradited to the US, but I have never heard of anyone being extradited from the US, to the UK, or indeed, anywhere else. What's the point in an extradition treaty, if it only works one way?

Now, I'm not an expert, but I'm fairly sure that dwarves are named after the dwarves of folklore and aren't actually those dwarves. Dwarves today have many joint and movement problems because of their condition. I don't see them working long hours in mines, or them having being expert craftsmen in the dim and distant past. It's a birth defect, not a race. Just because Dinklage resembles dwarves of folklore in stature doesn't mean he is one, and more importantly, it doesn't mean he speaks for them.

From 11 February, arrivals in England and Scotland will no longer have to take a test within 48 hours.

Seeing as the infection rate among the vaccinated is higher than the unvaccinated, and the boosted is even higher than that, it makes perfect sense to do this. At least if the idea is to prolong the spread of covid through those most likely to spread it.

"My show ain't ready," the star tells fans, one night before her concert series was due to begin.

She's a singer, all she had to do was sing, how was that not ready? All those people have booked tickets to watch her sing, not see some weird gimmicks. Better they got what they came for, rather than nothing. Can't help but think this is all ego.
