Civil War tourism, once a staple for many Southern states, is declining sharply, with recent fights over Confederate monuments and a lack of interest by younger generations cited as major reasons.

The idea of immortality has long been a prominent fixture in storytelling, and serves as a much sought after goal even here in real life. The ability to live...

Even though the guy is animated, the first three minutes are an eternity. I feel like I have already lived forever. Do I watch the rest?

Edit: Decided to skip around to the parts where he says immortality sucks.

  1. You watch people die. (Just like us mortals.)
  2. Brain not big enough to store memories. (Ignores we make new neurons through exercise and experiencing new things.)
  3. Boooooooring. Life is boring. (This ignore the "quickening" that people feel as they get older. Years feel shorter. Time feels like it passes faster. People become more driven to get more done.)

It isn't that surprising that an American wouldn't understand British English but it is surprising that she didn't do much research on the crimes these people committed. Not many leftists defend the abuse of children.

"I want to be clear that the comments I made are not indicative of who I am or who I've become in the years since."

"Update: Pearson and Alexander objected to being called "arch conservative." I have revised my description of their views. "

Yeah and I'm not sure I'd trust far right Reason to categorize people as alt-right either.

What wasn't presented was the context the comments were made so that we can see the full back and forth. Was it just stupid kids making crude jokes or a sign of an actual belief?

Adult Democrats say things on par with this that they actually mean and aren't jokes. The article points out we shouldn't put kids on pedestals, and that's true, we also shouldn't hold their actions against them forever either.
