The hotly contested Republican primary runoff for the Texas U.S. Senate seat between establishment mainstay John Cornyn and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was taken up a notch on Thursday, with Paxton offering to drop out of the race if the GOP agreed to ditch the filibuster and pass the SAVE Act.
