ICE came under criticism last week for shooting an armed protester during an altercation. While this incident is under investigation and has caused some to think poorly of the law enforcement agency, others are praising ICE for taking care of more children than all Somali daycares combined. Recent investigations found that government funded Somali daycare centers take care of exactly zero children, while last week ICE took care of one little boy who was abandoned by his father while fleeing arrest. ICE agents say they didn't realize they were signing up for childcare duty when they joined the force, but have found this part of the job quite enjoyable. When asked for comment, Somali daycare employees explained that they don't have any facilities safe for children and besides kids would really cut into their 99.9% profit margin.
