The Feast of the Holy Innocents honors Bethlehem’s children slain by King Herod, whose sacrifice was a real martyrdom for Christ. The Church commemorates their purity and crowns them with eternal glory, calling them by the beautiful name of ‘The Flowers of the Martyrs.’
