Former South Florida US Attorney Alex Acosta testified to House lawmakers last month that a federal prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein failed in the mid-2000s because a lack of victims and sufficient evidence would have made a trial a "crapshoot," according to a copy of the interview reviewed by The Post.
