Nathan Bradford Smith, 33, was suffering a meth overdose and heatstroke after being arrested in July 2024 when Benjamin Martin allegedly left him in a parked patrol car -- watching TikToks and sending intimate texts instead of getting him immediate help, according to a lawsuit filed by Smith's family Wednesday, obtained by The Oregonian.
