TikTok account New York Lab is the brainchild of Ridgewood, Queens-based artist Jack Klein, who has been recording, logging and posting heat data inside scorching underground stations since last August – and has logged “feels like” temperatures up to 120 degrees at Union Square, 112 degrees at Herald Square and 111 degrees at the Dekalb Avenue L stations during June’s recent heatwave.
