New York City police are stepping up patrols near an Ivy League university after the brutal stabbing death of a student. Tessa Majors, 18, was in her first year at Barnard, the women’s college affiliated with Columbia University. Majors was murdered Wednesday in a public park next door to Columbia’s campus. The rattle community held a vigil there Thursday night. Errol Barnett reports.
