Connecticut’s minimum wage didn’t rise overnight. It was the result of a sweeping 2019 law that fundamentally changed how wages are set in the state.  Members of Connecticut’s federal delegation, including Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Sen. Chris Murphy, argued that “millions across America currently live in poverty” and that raising the minimum wage would help restore “hope for people to achieve the American Dream.”
