Connecticut lawmakers have introduced two bills that critics said could weaken an ongoing lawsuit challenging the state’s 2021 law that repealed religious exemptions from school vaccination mandates. In 2022, a group of parents sued Gov. Ned Lamont and state health and education officials, arguing that the 2021 law violated their religious rights under the state’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA).
