Syria's interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa will make a rare visit to Washington this month, Syrian state media reported on Sunday, in a fresh sign of growing ties between the two countries. Al-Sharaa will go to the White House in early November for a "historic" visit, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani confirmed, according to the state television al-Ekhbariya.
