That's the problem. We got used to something that isn't right.”</p><p>Local residents reported having difficulty finding transport and store owners are closing earlier. Police often carry out large-scale operations against organized crime ahead of major events in Rio, which hosted the 2014 World Cup, the 2016 Olympics, the 2024 G20 summit, and this year's BRICS summit.</p><p>The death toll confirmed Tuesday by Rio Governor Claudio Castro, including four police officers, was more than double the previous deadliest police operation in Rio.</p></body>
