Free, free Palestine."</p><p>:: October 4, 2025</p><p>Participants on board were trained on how to use life vests in case of emergencies, while others spray-painted pro-Palestinian slogans and symbols on the walls of the ship. Conscience left Italy's Otranto port on Tuesday (September 30) evening as part of a maritime flotilla campaign known as "Thousand Madleens".</p><p>An earlier attempt by the "Global Sumud Flotilla" to break Israel's blockade on Gaza, was intercepted by the Israeli military this week. Some 450 activists, including Swedish campaigner Greta Thunberg, were detained.</p></body>
