At about 4:15 p.m yesterday 11 July 2025, police were advised Carolina had been located after flagging down a passing car within the Wheatbelt area.""Carolina presented as exhausted, dehydrated and hungry. She had minor injuries such as cuts and bruises. Carolina was flown back to Perth at about 5:30 p.m. where she is receiving further medical assistance."Carolina Wilga, who vanished on June 29 from near the outback town of Beacon, about 157 miles north of Western Australia state capital Perth, was found by a passing motorist on a road in the region on Friday, police said.Wilga was airlifted to Perth where she was transported to hospital where she is recovering.A large-scale search was initiated for Wilga after her vehicle was found abandoned in the state's sparsely populated Wheatbelt region, which spans 59792 square miles.
