A cooling tower at a decommissioned coal-fired power plant was destroyed with a controlled explosion in Hohenhameln, Germany, on Saturday, April 12.According to local reports, the 130-meter structure collapsed after the detonation of 150 kg of explosives.The power plant was expected to be fully demolished by 2027, with a new gas-fired power plant to be built on the site.Footage here, recorded by Jan Schroth, shows the moment the massive concrete structure collapsed.
