Snow was falling steadily over Amarillo, Texas, on Saturday morning, April 5, as the National Weather Service (NWS) forecast several inches of snow across the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles before dissipating later in the day.This video shows conditions at the NWS office in Amarillo at around 7 am, the NWS said. “Welcome to our winter wonderland…in April,” the agency wrote in a video caption on social media.Between three and four inches of snow was expected in Amarillo up to Saturday night, along with wind gusts up to 45 mph.Temperatures would drop below freezing on Saturday night, so “any leftover snow pack” would probably “refreeze overnight,” the NWS said.
