CYPRESS, Texas (KIAH) - Happening today in Cypress, Commissioner Lesley Briones will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of 14 miles of new sidewalks in Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District. This comes just one year after launching the sidewalks four Precinct 4 project. Today, Commissioner Briones will also announce new sidewalk projects within Cy-Fair ISD. The $20 million dollar investment in the sidewalks for the Precinct 4 program is to improve safe access to schools, healthcare providers, businesses, parks, and transit stops. The program delivers infrastructure that meets community needs, enhances quality of life, and expands opportunities for all. It starts this morning at 9 a.m. at Cypress Lakes High School on Greenhouse Road.
