The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) was busy preparing for a winter storm on Monday, January 20.The agency filmed a number of videos and posted them on X showing how its maintenance crews have been salting the roads of southern Louisiana ahead of the storm.The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for parts of Louisiana. Between four and six inches of snow and dangerous travel conditions were expected, according to the NWS.Louisiana Gov Jeff Landry issued a State of Emergency on January 18 in preparation for the storm.
