A satellite captured spectacular images showing numerous wildfires burning across provinces in Western Canada on Monday, August 12.The short timelapse video from the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA) was captured over a 10-hour period and focuses on northern parts of Alberta and Saskatchewan, with Lake Athabasca at the center, and southern parts of the Northwest Territories.“An astonishing view of abundant fire and smoke across Western Canada this evening,” CIRA wrote in a video post on X.According to local media, at least 112 fires were burning in Alberta alone.
