STORY: The protests, which coincided with a poll showing more than three quarters of Israelis believe Netanyahu should resign, underlined the growing public fury at their political and security leaders. The prime minister has so far not accepted personal responsibility for the failures that allowed Hamas' surprise assault in southern Israel on Oct. 7, which saw some 1,400 people killed and at least 240 taken hostage. At the Tel Aviv rally, Manuela Rotstein urged the government to "turn every stone" to bring abductees back, while Ofri Bibas-Levy, whose brother's family, including two young children, were kidnapped, also demanded Israel stop the assault on Gaza. "It's a humanitarian situation, a war crime and it should be stopped immediately. And we want the Red Cross to go inside to check on them to give us list of the people there to know if they are alive or dead. To know if they are okay," Bibas-Levy said.
