It wasn't "globalism" that did this, but the fact that the US economy is less competitive than the Chinese economy, owing to onerous US regulatory, tax and other burdens (which China has far less of). The solution is for the US to stop taxing, regulating and otherwise burdening the US economy. That would require a vast scaling back of the size/scope of the US government, which only few actually want to do. So instead, what we'll hear is instead more crap about the bogeyman of "globalism", thus letting people avoid having to face the truth about the state of the US economy and of the big government that seems intent on making it a burdensome and restrictive place to do business.
