This anecdotal story is a good example of what Trump is out to achieve. Any honest person concludes that Trump is using tariffs as a means, not an end. And tariffs seem to be having the desired effect. We hear Wall Street types drone on endlessly about how the tariffs are being paid by US consumers. Yet data seem to indicate that most of the cost is being eaten by China, in the form of subsides, currency devaluation and QE.
I am definitely with Trump when it comes to China.
Shouldn't the majority of a product have to be made somewhere for it to be considered made there? Only 35% of a product has to be made in Thailand for it to be considered made there?
Oh no...he had to do work, for money...hard work!
