Trump should immediately replace her with a hard-line constitutionalist. Sex shouldn't be a factor because identity politics are a fucking cancer that need to be ejected from society. Someone very pro gun, pro castle doctrine, pro stand-your-ground, etc. Preferably someone fairly young as well for obvious reasons. There's so many blatantly unconstitutional laws currently being ignored because our Supreme Court has been doing fuckall about it. Red-flag laws, pre-crime, guilty until proven innocent, capitulating to terrorists, the list goes on and on. The left can sit on their thumbs and spin. They don't even pretend to give a fuck about Americans anymore. In fact every step they take is about destroying Americans and should be treated as such.

Ruth's dying wish doesn't mean squat. We're not going to throw out the entire country on the wish of someone who didn't seem to love this place and in fact spent as much of her life as possible wielding power over people she was supposed to be protecting. She can get fucked. Dying doesn't magically absolve people of their sins and make them a saint like the left seem to think. You're a fucking criminal in life and you're a fucking criminal in death. You won't be mourned.

There needs to be a serious and extreme crack-down on the terrorists walking around assaulting citizens in gangs. Everywhere it happens every single person in that group should be arrested and jailed as a group, similar to how everyone committing a bank robbery, even the driver sitting on his thumbs in the car, get the same sentence. Don't care if you were "just recording," "dindu nuffin," etc. They're modern day lynch mobs and should be treated with the same contempt.

They keep trying to point to the polls for Trump, but they never say who's being polled. I have a feeling most Trump supporters don't talk to pollsters. I certainly haven't and I'm registered as unaffiliated because none of the parties really represent my interests.

There's a lot of work to be done and I hope the next 4 years yields far more results far more quickly than the previous 4. It's time to start unraveling the Cthulu tendrils of Communists, Marxists and China from our country's throat. It's time to be proud to be an American again.

My favorite SCOTUS justice is Clarence Thomas. He gave an interview fairly early on in his SCOTUS tenure and was asked about some of the decisions he made that were at odds with his prior court rulings. His answer was fascinating and illustrates why he's my favorite.

I will paraphrase as I don't have the quotes before me. He said "This is not my constitution to play with and change it as I would have it. This constitution belongs to ALL the people and I have no right to impose MY views on them."

Again, that is a paraphrase, but I believe it fairly captures the essence of his more eloquent words.

Let's not forget there is a YUGE difference between the 2016 and 2020 situations. Obama WAS on his way out the door. The 2016 nomination was coming at the end of Obama's second term when there would absolutely be a different president in a few months (either Trump or Hillary). Also, the opposition party held the Senate in 2016 and the same party holds it in 2020. The Senate could have gone through the process and simply rejected Garland (and all subsequent nominees) in 2016. The effect would have been exactly the same as not taking up the nomination - the seat would be vacant until the new president is sworn in.
