Somehow they will spin this to be Trump's fault
fear is often just as dangerous as the actual disease, and in some cases even more dangerous.
More information is needed but considering it is in China we will not learn more until it reaches pandemic levels in China, they do not like to admit to being wrong or asking for help from their perceived rivals. I hope that it is contained and does not become a worse threat than it currently is.
oh no only 97% survival rate ... time to panic
I believe the theory. I mean China does have a lot of people so the they lessen the herd. I thought Resident Evil was non fiction. But clearly even China thinks its a good idea the put a bio lab with viruses in a populated city.

I still remember the swine flu panic. It was absolutely ridiculous. They pushed an untested vaccine for it, and the EU freed the manufacturer (GSK) from any responsibility regarding unintended side effects.
The vaccine (Pandemrix) ended up causing narcolepsia in children, and destroyed five times more lives in Finland than the actual virus, which ended up killing only 36 people, only one of which was not already at the death's door. Lucky for GSK that the EU freed them from any responsibility and they didn't have to pay a dime for the destroyed lives of children!
And it didn't even help. The overwhelming majority of people in Finland were vaccinated (not me, my wife or my child, because I actually reseach things). Per capita more people died in Finland to swine flu than in Germany or Poland, neither of which vaccinated their populations in significant numbers.
There are suspected cases in Northern Finland. There were tourists who flew from Wuhan to Finland for a holiday, and they are now in a hospital with severe flu-like symptoms.
EDIT: Apparently one of them have "mild flu-like symptoms" and the other one is slightly feverish and feels herself somewhat weak. I can't believe they even thought this was worth mentioning in the news. 🤦♂️
i wouldnt put it past china's government to not intentionally release a virus to put down the unrest in hong kong and/or undermine the western world
national lock downs are pretty common for things that infectious. welcome to the 2020 plague :D the pattern continues. cant wait for 2320
doesnt china have a bunch of "ghost cities?" a bunch of abandoned cities where no one lives? they could spread out their population a bit and it would probably help [revent the spread of diseases.
