"Democratic Socialism" never existed, it's only a play at words to divert attention from the communist behind the mask.
Socialism(Communism) and Freedom are mutually exclusive.
Socialism, and Democratic Socialism, as a form of government, do not protect your rights they instead tell you what rights you have and will remove them when it is convenient for them to do so.
Socialism as an economic system means that you do not own the product of your own labor, your labor, or the product of your own intellect all of that is "owned" by the leadership of the collective who determines who gets what and who does what.
Pure Capitalism, or a capitalistic economy that has no regulations, will always collapse under its own weight.
A regulated Capitalistic economy will have economic swings between prosperity and recession, but most of the time it will remain generally stable.
Not everyone will vote for socialism and those who don't, will be forced to live under it and they will become victims. And the progressive marxists wont let you vote your way out of it either.
The corruption is not in capitalism Tim.
Look at capitalism as a human right of self determination. The individuals liberty to choose who they associate and do business with, the individuals liberty to choose what they spend their money on, the individuals liberty to choose how they earn money.
The free market is where individuals have full liberty in those respects.
The governments role is (as it relates to capitalism) supposed to be to enforce the law that protects these rights and the enforcement of contracts (contractual agreements between individuals/companies).
Where corruption happens is with laws, regulations, taxes and enforcement of those laws, regulations, and taxes.
So a law that would be fair, is one which is objectively fair and applies to everyone the same, and the enforcement of it is also equally applied. Corruption of such a thing results in "rules for thee and not for me" kind of thing. These sort of biased and unfair rules are written into law thanks to lobbying of corrupt politicians whose legislative powers is for sale.
Taxation is a major influence on the market, if you look at the tax code you will see 95% of it is "rules for thee but not for me" kind of thing. This is has a serious influence on the market and forces people to do things they would not otherwise do if the market were free in that respect.
These things are not the fault of capitalism, these are the faults of government. Government is not subject to market forces the same way companies are, the only way people can influence government is by voting (negligible influence), or by becoming members of government in order to try to fix the laws (more significant influence). Unfortunately most people who wind up in government are better suited for a padded cell.
It's stupid to think that having some laws and regulations means we have an economy mixed between capitalism and socialism.
Communists view the factory as the means of production.
Capitalists view the people who operate the factory as the means of production.
Technocrats like socialism/communism because they despise people. They want everything automated by AI and humans extinct.
LOL Democratic RAPE is just Rape
Democracy is NOT a Nation State Model, it is a Method of getting consensus, & has to have LIMITS - EXAMPLE: If a majority of say 1 Trillion Socialist Rapists target a single hard working victim:
