"privilege is invisible to those who have it" is the greatest quote to come out of leftist media because it so easily describes the leftist activists and celebrities

Sargon, you mentioned the Boyegas would be considered privileged if they returned to Nigeria (true), and you mentioned privilege sometimes being hard earned (also true).

John Boyega would not have the privilege he has of being a lead actor in a massive film franchise if his parents hadn't "worked" to bring him to the UK and get him an education. So yes, he definitely has the privilege that any wealthy actor has (regardless of race, sex, etc.), but he got that privilege based on his and his parents efforts. He definitely wouldn't be starring in Star Wars if he was raised and living in Nigeria.

So let me get this straight. Her co-star was from a Nigerian family that moved to England. Then he got money to pursue acting. How is that good for England? At least the colonizers were spreading useful aspects of civilization, they didn't get things when they arrived but they gave a lot. We tend to forget about all the colonizers gave to the colonies, for that would make the mean white people look like they did something good. But they gave a lot, from modern sanitation to sturdy architecture and civil engineering to advanced medical and agricultural technologies, etc. However, in the modern era a Nigerian family moves from a nation known for having people with low intelligence, then they immediately take resources from their new country. Apparently it's the responsibility of England to support some Nigerian kid's acting career? And naturally, if you question this, then you are some kind of evil bigot. What a joke. No wonder Western Civilization is under threat of collapsing.

Of course her acting is awful going to a private school. They're paid to tell you how awesome you are. If they told her she's fucking shit her parents would have pulled funding and sent her somewhere else.

I'd be surprised if the Guardian writer was even really thinking about class when she brought up privilege. It never usually features very prominently when such people invoke this topic, if at all, and usually for good reason in the case of people who work for the Guardian.

Look at that horse grin, though.

Carl was really rolling on that ode to the spoiled bitch.

You'd think that with all those advantages she might have learned how to fucking act.
