I'm gay and I see absolutely nothing wrong with heteronormativity. Fight me, Dreamsounds!

"The gay people in shows and movies are no different from their peers aside from their sexualities, allowing them to blend into heternormative society."

What's wrong with that? Is that somehow bad? What ever happened to the narrative that gay people are perfectly normal members of society just like everyone else?

"I don't WANT homonormativity."

Wait, does that mean you WANT to be treated differently? You WANT to be perceived as the "other" and be separated from mainstream society? What the hell, man?

Also, I hate the notion that we can only relate to fictional character if they share the same arbitrary characteristics as us. I don't need to have the same skin pigmentation, genitals, and love of certain genitals in order to "see myself" in a character! Why should those things even matter?

Disney: We're now offering rainbow flavored ice cream!

Dreamsounds: You should label your merchandise and food more appropriately to at the very least make your stance clear.

Disney: Uhhh… homosexual flavored ice cream?

"As John and I asked a PhotoPass photographer to take a photo of me kissing John on the cheek in front of Cinderella Castle, we joked about how many families likely had to comment or have a conversation about what they just saw."

Like this?

"Mommy, why is that man kissing his dad?"

"Man, that poor grandpa sure has an ugly boyfriend!"

"That younger guy looks like such a self-righteous prick!"
