Okaaay.... The good news is that these protests show how much of the developing world is becoming more affluent. Wealthier societies have lower birth rates, people are healthier and happier, and people have the time and means to stand up for issues like the environment, all fantastic. The bad news is that these protesters do not realize they are cutting off the money-tree branch upon which they grew. This is quite selfish toward the poorer of the World's population that do not yet have the time and means to protest.
