For years, conservative legislators have passed increasingly restrictive abortion laws, knowing they’d be struck down by the courts. Now, Republicans are going to have to defend their views at the ballot box. And that might not go well for them.

I'm not seeing any downside to having to defend favoring new life over murder for convenience.

Sarah Isgur the author of this lengthy pro-abortion biased article makes several unsubstantiated remarks that are untrue. "There are fewer abortions today than in 1973", when the only estimates that now are available, starting at approximately 200,000 vs the 365,000 that Planned Parenthood did, not including other abortions done in 2020. "Knowing they’d be struck down by the courts", is unfounded since there is nothing in the Constitution that gaurantees the right to an abortion. Then she states that the law will be short lived, like all the other flawed attempts for abortion restriction, because of "bizarre legal quirks" of the law, which is another one of her fantasies she envisions in her worship of the idol of Roe vs Wade.
