Two University of Connecticut students who were recorded uttering a racial slur several times in a campus parking lot said they were playing a game that involved saying offensive words. They were charged under a 1917 law that bans ridicule based on race, religion or nationality.

Feelings don't trump rights. It doesn't matter how 'offensive' it is, IT'S FREE SPEECH. It is a persons right to say whatever they want. That 'law' should have never been created. It's a direct violation of the 1st amendment. And anyone who argues for keeping it needs to removed form their position.
