The Supreme Court, in an order released Tuesday, allowed families of Sandy Hook victims to proceed with a lawsuit against gun manufacturer Remington Arms despite the company's claims that it was protected from liability by federal law.

I hope Remington starts moving assets offshore.

It's official! People can now also sue silverware makers for making them fat!

Once the precedent is set if they win I plan to sue Jack Daniels and Ford because the drunk driver who almost killed me was drunk on Jack Daniels and was driving a ford mustang.

I read Remington's Petition to the SCOTUS.

The CT courts shot down broad liability for selling a dangerous weapon, generally affirming federal protections for gun manufacturers, which is good.

But the CT court allowed argument to proceed on whether Remington's advertising was dishonest, and in violation of CT state law, though it basically said that it would be impossible to link such a violation to the shootings at Sandy Hook, even if they could prove the violation.

Remington filed to get that dismissed, but Scotus declined to hear it, so letting the case proceed.

It's not good but, all things considered, I'm FAR more concerned about the red fucking flag laws that are cropping up all over the country and circumventing the Constitution altogether.

So now we know the Supreme Court is corrupt like the rest of the government..

Asinine. Time to sue GM, Ford & Chrysler for vehicle deaths. Liberals must be banished from western society.

Doesn't make sense...

This from a supposedly conservative-leaning SCOTUS. The Communists will find a way to disarm you if they have to sue every gun, ammo, gunpowder, and shell casings manufacturer, along with every firing range, out of business. They’ll make it illegal to shoot your firearm anywhere for practice, except in two or three controlled safe zones with a max attendance of 10 registered applicants a year, with a maximum shell expenditure of 10 rounds each — to keep the NorthEast from overheating every November because of global warming caused by ‘gun fanatics’.

Sure, you have a right to bear arms... unloaded, locked, unfired, with no firing pins, and broken down in a locked case with your key stored in a safe at home. Guns will have to be stored in their natural condition, un-oiled, uncleaned, and rusty. Stainless steel firearms will be outlawed as assault-capable weapons of mass murder.

Ain’t it great to know the Supreme Court exists to ‘interpret’ the Constitution for everyone?
