The same reason the guy who's 'Essential' to clean porto-potties isn't paid more!!!!!

Because they are crybaby camp leaders in a state indoctrination center

Coravirus taught ALOT of people who the "essential" workers are - "Teachers" ain't one of them... You realize how much money schools are going to SAVE by replacing teachers in the classroom with "video teachers" or "on-line" classes?

Once parents learn to pay $10/class/month, then you get a HIGH-END education for a few bucks a month - and your kids can go to "schools" in their own neighborhood with a few dozen other kids, not a few thousand.

Sports and extra-curriculars will be handled by local "clubs."

Wow, maybe this is a WHOLE NEW WORLD!

"...public school teacher asks: If 'teachers are so essential, then why aren’t teachers paid more?' ..." Very simple. teachers, currently, are essential in brainwashing our kids. Teachers don't get paid more because useful idiots aren't worth that much.

Might be a good question for your unions.

How many months a year do teachers work?

Public school teachers are NOT essential or they would NOT be allowed to strike. Just about any parent can teach a child better than a sexual deviate and social retard "teacher can.
