I'm still commenting on this from Firefox, though having heard this I will switch to Brave
F Firefox. I use Ubuntu and when Firefox was updated a couple of days ago, Dissenter was suddenly disabled. So I've dumped FF and am now using Brave. So far, I'm very impressed. The idea that Brave is "bad" because it was originally forked off of Chromium is silly. Eich's team have complete control of the code after forking.
Firefox should ask themselves what the hell they're doing and why this is important to them...
My extensions were disabled for one night then they including Dissenter came back. I'm expecting them to disable Dissenter again at some point. I've been using Firefox since shortly after it's public release 16 years ago. All the same after this shameful action I've already started trying different browsers.
I didn't even know about Dissenter until a few minutes ago. Blowzilla snatched failure from the jaws of... well, mediocrity, when they stepped to the Pool table.
Just downloaded Brave, and installed dissenter. I'm using Ubuntu and did certainly experience the FF extension nuke days ago. It now feels quite nice to be 100% soy software free.
Just installed the Dissenter extension. I wasn't interested in it, but since big tech blocked it, it must be really good!
People still use Firefox?
Anyway I heard that Chrome had banned it, but it was probably just someone confusing it with Firefox.
Windows 10 Firefox Quantum 66.0.4 (64-bit) is working again with Dissenter :)
