Again BBC! Why the use of weasel word may, does cooking oil cause deforestation or not?

Cut down forests to grow crops to make fuel that is otherwise sitting undergound waiting to burn itself and/or cause environmental distaster. All in the name of reducing CO2, a harmless trace gas and the essential building block of all life on this planet.

The average person exhales 5216312 grams of CO2 a year, sedentary, if my maths is correct that works out at 42756.6 km of travel in the average car. If a person runs or cycles hard they can exhale 8 times that. Ergo most cars are better for the environment than about 4 typical anarchistic, black smoke belching van driving, festival circuiting, protesting, cycle-to-the-jobcentre on wednesdays, hysterical, environmental rent-a-loons ;)

You could also headline that the production of food may fuel deforestation, but that does not sound as frightening. Typical BBC looking for the click bait from their biased fake news propaganda.

Climate change : Getting really sick of it.

You know what helps plants to grow?

CO2.

Let's unsequester more of that precious, precious plant food, and put it back into the biosphere.
